something stinks in Nebraska

We hope you’re ok.

All we’ve been able to find out about SHIELDING/PROTECTION is below – and from what we can understand having a room, shelter, bed or head protection made out of COPPER MESH, GIRON OR MU-METAL – preferably all of them – would be the best chance to block DIRECTED ENERGY attacks

– We haven’t tried them ourselves due to lack of skill and resources

Of course proper SCIENTIFIC/MILITARY LABORATORY/SAFE HOUSES would be the best.

Please let us know if you have any success – please helps us find out what works!!!

John finch

For protection/shielding from DIRECTED ENERGY AND NEUROLOGICAL WEAPONS TORTURE AND ABUSE some people have recommended COPPER MESH, GIRON, MU-METAL or SILVER COATED POLYMER MESH made into a shelter or head protection:-

Others have recommended the more specialist and expensive enclosures, cages etc.

1.”Do you know what would be required technically/materially to build a LABORATORY STANDARD
SAFE HAVEN that affords the maximum protection against the most advanced DIRECTED ENERGY and NEUROLOGICAL WEAPONS?”

2.”Please tell me the best materials or methods that I could use to protect myself from those narrow range of A MODULATED EMF WAVE SIGNAL OF BETWEEN 3HZ TO 50 HZ.”

A.”The only true protection from signals that low is a double walled enclosure with liquid helium
between the walls.”
eleanor – eleanor@…

*** liquid helium will block infrared heat signal tracking. But it is 2 degrees kelvin. I work with liquid nitrogen for the superconductor shielding and a liter boils off in 8 hours. Impossible to build an entire room economically plus, no theoretical evidence. Magnetic fields still pass through it.

B.”all people need to do rooms with defense from electromagnetic weapons.

In first time it’s frequencies 0-100 Hz – Brain; 400-1000 Hz – Arms, Legs; 1-1000 GHz – inners structure of people.

See site www.6478867.org or http://www.telepat-defence.com/ for more details…….

About room with defense, no any fantastic, only physics. See my sites, this room not very big work, but sizes very significant, a lot of work it’s door, technology windows, material: Cu, Fe, C, wood and other only what is in shop.

Cost materials about 2000-4000 dollars for 6-10 m3 in Byelorussian prices”

Nickolay – admin@…

*** I still don’t know what Nickolay is suggesting. Do we jam these frequencies? The entire spectrum is covered with these signals. Practical advice is needed on how to dampen and block every part of the spectrum. Different technologies and materials dampen different frequencies. My personal opinion is that everything is below 800Mhz due to the incredible penetration into the earth and ocean water.

C.”you need a vacumn (air space between two layers of shielding, foot thick ceramic bricks, copper mesh

wire, lead, and probably some other types of shielding thrown in.”

carolyn – exoticwarfare@…

** lead is ineffective. There is something to copper mesh but more interestingly coils of a certain length wound a certain way seem to screw up the signal as mentioned on several websites. Quite possible that

fundamental frequencies common to everyone are used that properly tuned passive coils absorb.

D.”One thing these freaks are having a terrible time overriding is copper- wire mesh. In order for a focused signal to have the desired impact in these directed-energy experiments the signal must remain focused. Copper- wire mesh deflects focused EMF in the Herz to Megaherz ranges.”

julianne – juliannemckinney@…

E.”There is one cure all but it costs about 3 million dollars and couldn’t fit more than 3 people at once.

Not practical. Passive dampening has limitations. Research of active jamming and noise cancellation is a better bet.”

Dr Duncan – duncan@…

** Far more complex but this was the hot research about 20 years ago. Energy can’t affect your nervous system if an equal and opposite waveform reaches it.

F.”You will need to make an enclosure from a magnetic shielding alloy such as GIRON or Mag-Stop Plates…..you would need to make a complete enclosure. For magnetic field shielding, you can

perforate some areas for ventilation. A faraday cage can be made from a mesh style shielding fabric. See Faraday Canopy at http://www.lessemf.com/personal.html#200

** I like the magnetic alloy dampening material. More research should be done with it like mu-metal. I’ve heard mixed reviews of canopies. Most faraday cages don’t work. But I am open to the idea that with the right material, it might help some people. Statistics of effectiveness are important. No one simple method has helped more than 50% of people.

Emil DeToffol, Less EMF Inc.

G. “One TI advertised a disassembled 12′ x 12′ industrial screen room (utilizes two grounded layers of copper screen) that she claimed blocked 90% of directed energy — brochure attached. The price she paid for it new was $11,000.”

bruno – bruno_marchesani@…

*** Always validate claims especially if they are this expensive. Ask to travel to a location with that assembly and try it before investing in building one yourself.

H.”any metal is good but sheet can propagate pulsed beam, double sheet is good, with insulator between, it is not hard to deflect or absorb these energies but the info is not readily available and it does take some money…..the best microwave absorbing material is the material those flexible magnetic signs are made of –that is magnetzed and can be easily placed or removed from the door of a car — it is brown and comes in varying thickness, its name escapes, but it is a ferro plastic of some sort, search microwave absorber”

b- tiger1@…

I. “Try going to Powerwatch.com (or .org). They sell a silver coated polymer mesh which I have tried and found effective if used in multiple layers. However, it is very expensive and the scum can always turn on the magnetic field when you are indoors. Nothing will stop a magnetic field, which is the problem prisoners have in trying to shield themselves. The silver-coated polymer is very expensive so start with a small amount if you are interested in seeing what it can do for you. However, should not be washed with any detergent containing sulphur.”

th feedback from Dr Duncan and Nickolay Silivonchik

I can’t understand how it’s as complicated or as impossible as everyone is making out.

I’m being subjected to something very similar to the Remote Neural Monitoring (RNM) and Electronic Brain Link (EBL) – RNM and EBL are achieved using a modulated EMF wave signal of between 3HZ to 50HZ that is described in –

John St. Clair Akwei vs. NSA, Ft. Meade, MD, USA)

RNM and EBL require such specialised and limited frequencies – A MODULATED EMF WAVE SIGNAL OF BETWEEN 3HZ TO 50 HZ – due to the limited and specialised frequencies of the brain itself.

Wouldn’t it be easier to concentrate on blocking/jamming these narrow range of frequencies required to achieve communication with the brain, rather than the “carrier – or whatever” waves?

I think that’s what NICKOLAY is suggesting –

‘all people need to do rooms with defense from electromagnetic weapons. In first time it’s frequencies 0-100 Hz – Brain; 400-1000 Hz – Arms, Legs; 1-1000 GHz – inners structure of people.

See site www.6478867.org or http://www.telepat-defence.com/ for more details.’

john finch”

” It wouldn’t make for a very good global weapon if it were that easily defeated. I think you underestimate the worlds most sophisticated global weapon system. The sources are located all over the earth and connected into what is called a holographic full spectrum very large baseline RADAR grid.

This means the energy comes from all directions simultaneously and can gracefully move across the spectrum to harmonics of brainwave frequencies that do penetrate your shielding.

The think it is a false premise to assume a narrow range. In fact it is full spectrum ultrawide band.

One more point. The term brainwave frequencies is misleading. Yes, this is the range that EEG (electroencephlographs) pick up. But there are important high frequency components that the RADAR technology picks up which are the aggregated “click” streams. There are about 10,000,000 neurons actively firing at a time in a human brain. Pulsed energy packets could better precisely recreate a brain signature through bio-amplification. A kind of lock and key brain resonance encryption code that when played over and over forces those neural circuits to fire like dominos. These pulsed packets

would have some brain wave fundamentals in them but the majority of energy would be in higher parts of the spectrum which an EEG instrument can not record.”

“I forgot to mention a couple other areas of research.

Ion cyclotron resonance heating is mentioned throughout mind control text of top scientist. This is a confusing subject since it is high energy physics.

But the same principles apply at lower energies. Nervous system ions Have very high speeds when the nerve cell is active due to the 10 million Volt per meter (no that isn’t a misprint) gradient. When ions accelerate During depolarization from the random bouncing around at body temperature (boltzman distribution of velocities), a radar signal that passes through the ion species our brains and bodies, reflect off of ions whose path cyclones at a particular speed. This change of “temperature” or speed during depolarization is measured in the frequency spread, a Doppler shift widening due to the ions accelerating in all directions around a nerve cell or the whole brain for example. In HAARP specs they measure this, calling it “F-Spread”. So, if one can fluxuate a high voltage gradient, you would Add noise to the signal in the vicinity. Ions are created by static high voltages which reflect radar signals very well. In fact it is only the charge of particles that account for the reflection whether subatomic or molecular in nature. One area of bio-communication jamming technology people should investigate is semi-chaotic high voltage (low power) modulation of shielding plates.

When my equipment gets back from the shop and I get some time, I’ll Further investigate this line of defense but probably not for another 5 monthsrealistically.”

“It’s no interest what modulation or other technology is for electromagnetic weapons.

You know frequencies for brain – 0-30 Hz, for arms, legs – 400-600 Hz, all sound frequencies, for inner part from 1000 000 – 1000 000 000 000 Hz,

That’s all what you need to now if you want build room with defenses.

See my sites, it’s all is on my sites:

Best regards,

Nickolay Silivonchik”

3. PROPER SHIELDING/PROTECTION 3 – further comments from Nickolay Silivonchik and Dr Duncan

“Dear John.

You’re not asking the right questions. The right questions will be asked in this way:

1.’Do you know what would be required technically/materially to build a LABORATORY STANDARD SAFE HAVEN that affords the maximum protection against the most advanced DIRECTED ENERGY and NEUROLOGICAL WEAPONS?’

should be –

‘Do you know what would be required technically/materially to build a LABORATORY STANDARD SAFE HAVEN that affords the maximum protection against the electromagnetic weapons in biological range referring to people, for instance from 3 before 50Hertz, from 400 before 600 Hertz, from 1 Gigahertz before 1000 Gigahertz?

2.’Please tell me the best materials or methods that i could use to protect myself from those narrow range of A MODULATED EMF WAVE SIGNAL OF BETWEEN 3HZ TO 50 HZ.’

should be –

‘Please tell me the best materials or methods that I could use to protect myself from those narrow range of electromagnetic waves in {the} biological range referring to people, for instance from 3 before 50 Hertz, from 400 before 600 Hertz, from 1 Gigahertz before 1000 Gigahertz.’

Stop studying fantastic books.

Study the usual books on physicist, section electro-magnetic oscillation and waves, subsection screening the electromagnetic fluctuations.

See sites:

It is very good news about active defense from electromagnetic wave.

[my note: i haven’t read it yet, and as it is, i am not in a habitte that affords, me privacy to setup a barrier-]

Best regards,

Nickolay Silivonchik”

“Why is detection hard?

Attached is a slide to help people who don’t understand communication and signal intelligence theory {please contact me if you want me to email the attachment to you – john} An Ultra Wide Band, aka full spectrum RADAR, signal is below the noise floor for any one frequency. It can not be deciphered by looking at a signal frequency. It is the wrong question to ask ‘What is the frequency Kenneth,
that is torturing us?'(Dan Rather’s attackers said this to him.) UWB can only be detected using special DSP

algorithms and expensive equipment. It is a game of signal to noise ratio depending on the encoding scheme for the energy.”

“There is another class of defenses. Brain imprinting over time rewires the brain of the target. The fundamental frequencies change. Some people have been able to break the hypnotic entrainments and allow normal brain functioning rhythms just by using sound files for a month with special binaural and other beat frequencies in them. The brain is shielded in this way because it is not following the radio frequency patterns that the system is trying to force the target brain into. Neurofeedback techniques and training would also do this. All senses can be stimulated in patterns that can break the lock.”

4. INSTRUCTIONS from Nickolay Silivonchik

“Go to a SHIELDING/PROTECTION company and tell them –

I need to get/build a room with SHIELDING/PROTECTION from electromagnetic waves on frequencies from 0,01 Hertz to 1000 000 000 000 Hertz.

In this room it is necessary to install a Gelimgolica Ring to make an artificial magnetic field.

There are also questions of the air, electricity, relationship, but these are standard decisions – solved long ago.

In Moscow this room at 10m3 costs about $50 000 – for a big company.

See site http://www.elfilter.ru/ or on my site archive

I think you can to do it yourself for $2000-$5000 if you get my calculation and drawings – these will cost you $600.

Or you may read my sites and to do it for free yourself – The best book about it is on my site:-

but you need to read all the material on these sites:-

www.telepat-defence.com or www.6478867.org,

as you need to do ecran for big range frequencies.

See my new site www.6478867.com it’s got very new equipment for health.

please contact NICKOLAY for further information – admin@…

Please let us know if you have any success – please helps us find out what works!!!

All of the crimes and violations of a NUREMBERG-type TRIAL have been, and are, being committed – AN INTERNATIONAL INVESTIGATION INTO THESE CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY IS NEEDED IMMEDIATELY!!!

this is not acceptable: JAIL, punitive reembrusments ARE:

Friday, Nov. 10, 2006 By ADAM ZAGORIN

Just days after his resignation, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is about to face more repercussions for his involvement in the troubled wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. New legal documents, to be filed next week with Germany’s top prosecutor, will seek a criminal investigation and prosecution of Rumsfeld, along with Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, former CIA director George Tenet and other senior U.S. civilian and military officers, for their alleged roles in abuses committed at Iraq’s Abu Ghraib prison and at the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba

and where’s gATEs about the EM assaults? HELLO? r u bunk mates?

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/03/23/terror/main2599984.shtml(CBS/AP) In sharp contrast to his predecessor, Defense Secretary Robert Gates reportedly tried to shut down Guantanamo.

Gates, who succeeded Donald Rumsfeld last year, pushed in his first weeks as defense secretary for closing the detention center at the U.S. naval base in Cuba, arguing that its image was so tainted that any military trials there would be viewed as illegitimate, according to The New York Times.

Full Spectrum Information Warfare
Information Operation Roadmap Part 1

Brent JessopKnowledge Driven Revolution.com
November 5, 2007

When the US military refers to full spectrum domination, they truly mean full spectrum. Information operations or information warfare is a key part of the military battlespace. Recently, a document entitled Information Operation Roadmap was declassified by the Pentagon because of a Freedom of Information Act request by the National Security Archive at George Washington University. The document was described by the Council on Foreign Relations’ website as:

“A 2003 Pentagon document previously classified as ‘noforn’ (not for release to foreign nationals, including allies), this report details the US military’s information operations, including psychological operations, electronic warfare, and involvement in foreign journalism. The document was made public by the National Security Archive on January 26, 2006.”

On Par with Air, Ground, Maritime and Special Operations

The importance of information warfare is clearly laid out in this document.

“Key assumptions. Information, always important in warfare, is now critical to military success and will only become more so in the foreseeable future. Three key assumptions underscore the growing importance of information:

– (U) Effectively communicating U.S. Government (USG) capabilities and intentions is an important means of combating the plans of our adversaries. The ability to rapidly disseminate persuasive information to diverse audiences in order to directly influence their decision-making is an increasingly powerful means of deterring aggression.” [emphasis mine] – 3

The major thrust of the document was that information operations should be centralized under the Office of the Secretary of Defence and made a core military competency.

“Objective: IO [information operations] becomes a core competency. The importance of dominating the information spectrum explains the objective of transforming IO into a core military competency on a par with air, ground, maritime and special operations. The charge to the IO Roadmap oversight panel was to develop as concrete a set of action recommendations as possible to make IO a core competency, which in turn required identifying the essential prerequisites to become a core military competency.” [emphasis mine] – 4

Uniformity in Message and Themes

tallied in part:

[basically useless for finding osama but great for beating the shit out of the average citizen]

everything and nothing to [due] with eM assaults:

The complaint alleges that Hall’s First Amendment rights were violated as early as Thanksgiving 2006 when, because of his atheist beliefs, Hall declined to participate in a Christian prayer ceremony commemorating the holiday.

Immediately after plaintiff made it known he would decline to join hands and pray, he was confronted, in the presence of other military personnel, by the senior ranking … staff sergeant who asked plaintiff why he did not want to pray, whereupon plaintiff explained because he is an atheist,” the lawsuit states. “The staff sergeant asked plaintiff what an atheist is and plaintiff responded it meant that he (plaintiff) did not believe in God. This response caused the staff sergeant to tell plaintiff that he would have to sit elsewhere for the Thanksgiving dinner. Nonetheless, plaintiff sat at the table in silence and finished his meal.”

Additionally, the complaint alleges that last July, when Hall received permission by an Army chaplain to organize a meeting of other soldiers who shared his atheist beliefs, his supervisor, Army Major Freddy Welborn, broke up the gathering and threatened to retaliate against the soldier by charging him with violating the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The complaint also alleges that Welborn vowed to block Hall’s reenlistment in the Army if the atheist group continued to meet – a violation of Hall’s First Amendment rights under the Constitution.

  • Alert: Americans who honor the U.S. Constitution’s strict separation of church and state are now genuinely alarmed. Agnostics and atheists, as well as observant people of every faith, fear — sensibly — that the religious right is gaining historic political power, via an ultraconservative movement with highly placed friends….
  • ………………..
It’s a commonly stated error that U.S. law, based on English common law, is thus grounded in Judeo-Christian tradition.
  • Yet Jefferson (writing to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814 ) noted that common law “is that system of law which was introduced by the Saxons on their settlement in England …about the middle of the fifth century. But Christianity was not introduced till the seventh century. …We may safely affirm (though contradicted by all the judges and writers on earth) that Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law.”
  • Jefferson professed disbelief in the Trinity and the divinity of Jesus Christ, while respecting moral teachings by whomever might have been a historical Jesus. He cut up a Bible, assembling his own version: “The whole history of these books [the Gospels] is so defective and doubtful,” he wrote Adams (January 24, 1814), “evidence that parts have proceeded from an extraordinary man; and that other parts are of the fabric of very inferior minds.”
  • Scorning miracles, saints, salvation, damnation, and angelic presences, Jefferson embraced reason, materialism, and science. He challenged Patrick Henry, who wanted a Christian theocracy: “[A]n amendment was proposed by inserting ‘Jesus Christ,’ so that [the preamble] should read ‘A departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion’; the insertion was rejected by a great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mohammedan, the Hindoo and Infidel of every denomination” (from Jefferson’s Autobiography, referring to the Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom).
  • The theme is consistent throughout Jefferson ’s prolific correspondence: “Question with boldness even the existence of a God” (letter to Peter Carr, August 10, 1787).
  • “[The clergy] believe that any portion of power confided to me, will be exerted in opposition to their schemes. And they believe rightly: for I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man” (letter to Dr. Benjamin Rush, September 23, 1800).
  • “I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which…thus[built] a wall of separation between church and state” (letter to the Danbury [ Connecticut ] Baptist Association, January 1, 1802).
  • “History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government” (letter to Alexander von Humboldt, December 6, 1813).
  • “In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own” (letter to Horatio G. Spafford, March 17, 1814).
  • “[W]hence arises the morality of the Atheist? …Their virtue, then, must have had some other foundation than the love of God” (letter to Thomas Law, June 13, 1814).
  • “I am of a sect by myself, as far as I know” (letter to Ezra Stiles, June 25, 1819).
  • “The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus… will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter” (letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823).
Although prayer groups proliferate in today’s Congress, James Madison, “father of the Constitution,” denounced even the presence of chaplains in Congress — and in the armed forces — as unconstitutional. He opposed all use of “religion as an engine of civil policy,” and accurately prophesied the threat of “ecclesiastical corporations.”
  • “Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise” (letter to William Bradford, April 1, 1774).
  • “During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What have been its fruits? More or less in all places, pride and indolence in the Clergy, ignorance and servility in the laity; in both, superstition, bigotry and persecution” (Memorial and Remonstrance Against Religious Assessments, Section 7, 1785).
  • “What influence in fact have ecclesiastical establishments had on Civil Society? In some instances they have been seen to erect a spiritual tyranny on the ruins of the Civil authority; in many instances they have been seen upholding the thrones of political tyranny: in no instance have they been seen as the guardians of the liberties of the people. Rulers who wished to subvert the public liberty, may have found an established Clergy convenient auxiliaries” (Ibid., Section 8).
  • “Besides the danger of a direct mixture of Religion & civil Government, there is an evil which ought to be guarded agst. in the indefinite accumulation of property from the capacity of holding it in perpetuity by ecclesiastical corporations. The power of all corporations ought to be limited in this respect. …The establishment of the chaplainship to Congs. is a palpable violation of equal rights, as well as of Constitutional principles. … Better also to disarm in the same way, the precedent of Chaplainships for the army and navy. … Religious proclamations by the Executive [branch] recommending thanksgivings & fasts are shoots from the same root. … Altho’ recommendations only, they imply a religious agency, making no part of the trust delegated to p
olitical rulers” (Monopolies, Perpetuities, Corporations, Ecclesiastical Endowments, circa 1819).

  • That’s only a sampling, quotes that blast cobwebs off the tamed images we have of the Founders. Their own statements — not dead rhetoric but alive with ringing, still radical, ideas — can reconnect us to our proud, secular roots, and should inspire us to honor and defend them.

[i personally think it’s a bit bigger than a ‘scandal’]

Less than three weeks after Army Private First Class Susan Upchurch arrived at her first assignment, in Germany, she was raped by a fellow servicemember. When she reported the 2002 crime to a sergeant, she was told to “be a soldier” and pretend it never happened.

As a woman in the U.S. military, Upchurch is far from alone in experiencing the terror of sexual assault, and its traumatic aftermath. Over the past 15 years, scandalous episodes at the Navy’s Tailhook convention (where female sailors were groped by their cohorts) and the Aberdeen Training Grounds (where Army superiors raped trainees) drew widespread attention to the problem.

Feingold began by pointing out that the administration, including Gonzales, has many times accused opponents of the “Terrorist Surveillance Program” — meaning those who insisted that eavesdropping take place within the law, within the FISA framework — of “opposing eavesdropping on terrorists” (I can find 20 examples in 5 minutes of that).

Feingold’s first question – “do you know of any one in the country who opposed eavesdropping on terrorists?”

Gonzales: Sure – if you look at blogs today, there is a lot of concern about all types of eavesdropping, who don’t want us eavesdropping at all

It should be pointed out that the evidence of bin Laden’s connection to these activities is mostly classified, though its hard to imagine the CIA rushing to take credit for a Frankenstein’s monster like this.
It is also worth acknowledging that it is easier now to oppose the CIA’s Afghan adventures than it was when Hatch and company made them in the mid-1980s. After all, in 1998 we now know that far larger elements than Afghanistan were corroding the communist party’s grip on power in Moscow.

    REPUBLICAN ‘nice guy’ :-
    [quote:leave ihm alone, he’s a nice guy-technically i wasn’t anywhere near him]

Chairman of the Southeast Region for BushCheney, 2004.

While running the Skandalakis campaign in 1997, Reed founded Century Strategies, a political consulting firm which describes itself as “one of the nations leading public affairs and public relations firms.” It appears to have initially been engaged primarily in campaign consulting for Republican candidates, but after performing poorly in the 1998 elections, its mission evolved into advocacy and lobbying.

Its clients have included now-bankrupt energy trader Enron, software giant Microsoft, educational programmer Channel One News, the Puerto Rican statehood movement, business interests advocating normal trade relations with the People’s Republic of China, the eLottery Internet gambling firm, and at least two Indian gaming tribes introduced to Reed by Abramoff. Century Strategies was most recently hired by the cable industry to fight newly proposed federal decency standards….

In 1999, Abramoff helped Reed get hired [6] as a consultant subcontractor for Preston Gates & Ellis, a large law firm founded by the father of Microsoft’s Bill Gates.

Reed’s $30,000 per month contract with Enron was arranged in 1999 by Karl Rove, principal campaign advisor to Texas Governor and future President George W. Bush. Rove did not want Reed to work against Bush, but he also did not want Reed to be publicly associated with Bush in the early stages of the campaign. The existence of Reed’s contract was revealed in 2002, when a federal investigation was launched into Enron’s bankruptcy.

Reed is credited with orchestrating attacks on Senator John McCain in the 2000 South Carolina presidential primary:

    , November 9, 1991)

  • “It’s like guerrilla warfare. If you reveal your location, all it does is allow your opponent to improve his artillery bearings. It’s better to move quietly, with stealth, under cover of night. You’ve got two choices: You can wear cammies and shimmy along on your belly, or you can put on a red coat and stand up for everyone to see. It comes down to whether you want to be the British army in the Revolutionary War or the Viet Cong. History tells us which tactic was more effective.” – Ralph Reed (Los Angeles Times, March 22, 1992)
  • “Hey, now that Im done with the electoral politics, I need to start humping in corporate accounts! Im counting on you to help me with some contacts.” – Ralph Reed to Jack Abramoff in an email messaged dated November 1998, several days after the general election (Washington Post, June 22, 2005) [27]

Meltdown: McCain Stands By Iraq Gaffe, Aides Hammered On Press Call

While I wrote about this for the Nation and Media Matters, there has been very little mainstream press interest on Dobson’s role in Abramoff’s schemes. So far, some of the best — and most adversarial — reporting on the Abramoff/Reed/Dobson saga is coming from the Christian media, namely from Marvin Olasky’s World Magazine. As the former welfare guru to Gov. George W. Bush, Olasky coined the phrase, “compassionate conservatism.” When Bush moved into the White House, he became the intellectual author of the Faith Based Initiative. Olasky’s World Magazine is one of the largest evangelical publications in the country.

On February 4, World published a critical expose of Dobson’s role in a 2002 Abramoff campaign to stop expansion of competition to his client, the Coushattas. A World reporter grilled Focus on the Family’s Tom Minnery about Dobson’s involvement. Minnery responded incredulously that Abramoff was “trying to take credit for” what Focus was supposedly already doing in Louisiana. He refused to criticize Reed, even though Reed clearly manipulated Dobson..

Understanding the statistics of silent eugenics programs.

(How to kill a large number of people over periods of decades without the general population catching on.)

Think of eugenics as a controlled burn in fire fighter terminology. By killing off certain people with certain ideas continuously, we can avoid large variances of stability like WWII is the overly simplistic rationale of those who support the practice in US government and political think tanks.

In order to cull the masses in every population for an assortment of rationales, the Sheppards use a trick of deception.

Statistics are not intuitive to the average person. This is why people are easily duped into the gambling industry and relieved of some of their money. In a similar vein, the silent assassination and eugenics programs of mass distributed murder works so well undetected.

Eugenics is often called intelligent design and directed evolution. It can manifest itself as genocide against a particular genome like in WWII, but the accelerated selective pressures vary depending on the metrics of those who design it.

Lets say you wanted to make a society smarter. One might use the psychology of manipulation through false pride and propaganda to trick the simple people into the war machine and then let war kill that concentrated characteristic off for example. Or lets say you are a designer who fears too many smart people and subscribe to Hitlers famous quote that dumb people are more easily ruled and prefer to remove the more educated based on that metric from society. Maybe your concern is conformity and simply dont want a society or empire to fracture due to outliers in multiple characteristics and dimensions, then you would prune the population from both sides of every bell curve metric to reduce the variances. For this discussion the manmade selective pressure, i.e. the fitness function, to create an accelerated directed evolution is irrelevant and merely dependent on the motives of those who control it.

In order to help the reader understand the statistics of directed evolution, it helps to disassociate from the biases of the horrific nature of this discussion. So for the purpose of this discussion in a less inflammatory context of vocabulary, lets exchange average human life spans of 75 years plus an average amount of happiness for $7,500. [This number was taken from Pentagon documents for calculating the value of a soldier in the Vietnam War. Colonels were worth $32,000.] From this point on we can talk about money instead of murder.

The goal is to reduce the influence or dollar value of the whole portfolio (i.e. the selected population for extermination) continuously through time. Remember the dollar value is a metaphor which represents life expectancy points in this simplified discussion but could be a more complex measure of influence and power.

Now we need to think of ways
to reduce the dollar value of the portfolio without anyone noticing the stock manipulation. Using methods from the think tanks of financial institutions and unscrupulous individual investors, we see silent ways to achieve this diabolic goal and will show the comparable tactics used to destabilize countries as well as the individuals in the eugenics programs. The same tactics are used over and over again at every scale of manipulation in war, politics, business, or eugenics…

    1. Take it from there!

    1) Sleep attacks/sleep disturbance (This is exactly what it sounds like and it would make the victim both a narcoleptic and an insomniac. Please think about this.)

    2) Auditory Effects (hearing music, a song, one line played over and over, odd electronic sounds and noises, or an often tinny, tiny, digitized-sounding far-off “voice”)

    3) Jolts (feeling as though they’ve been jolted with an electrical prod) or muscle spasms, muscle cramps and/or a burning, tingling sensation in the hands or limbs; (a.k.a polyneuropathy including sensory and motor neuropathy)

    4) Sudden onset of sneezing/coughing, “allergies,” cold or flu-like symptoms

    5) Somnambulism with amnesia of the event

(sleep activities, sleep walking, etc…some of these activities are quite complicated)

    6) “Media Interactivity”

    ?uranuim posioning amouNgest troops? ?

    7) A buzzing or clicking in the head

    8) Vivid hypnogogic or hypopompic images just before falling asleep or waking up/mind’s eye images

    9) False heart attacks (feeling as though you’ve been punched hard in the chest)

    10) Headaches

    11) Blurred vision

    12) Hot and cold flashes/”heating”

    Potential Technology

    1) “Put the Enemy to Sleep/Keep the Enemy From Sleeping,” very low frequency EMF(below radio), as well as potentially acoustics or brainwave manipulation1

    2) Varied and many – acoustic deference tones, which can project a voice or other sound to a particular location. The resulting sound can only be heard at that location4. Directed acoustic beam, also hypersonic sound9 and low power microwaves1

    3) Pulse Wave Weapons 1,2,3 affect the signal from the motor cortex region of the brain overriding voluntary muscle movements – or acoustic bullets,4 and/or possibly millimeter waves, supercharged versions of microwaves, to heat up the skins nerve endings

    4) Low-Frequency
Radiation – magnetic field,1 to increase histamine

    5) Compare this effect/behavior to that which some users of Ambien have experienced; Acoustics, Infrasound and Very Low Frequency EMF, which in tandem could be used to put someone to sleep and create acoustics

    6) Media interactivity is, in general, conducted by the manipulation of the individual including a feeling of coincidence (pattern recognition) and a mild to strong anxiety (or fight or flight) response. We estimate a very small percentage of exception (where others are being manipulated without realizing it).

    7) acoustic “pinging” or Microwave Auditory Effect

    8) Possibly Biofusion,5 or neuromodulation of the occipital lobe, possibly subliminal (?)

    9) Varied – most likely a type of acoustic bullet,4 or EMF manipulation

12)possibly millimeter waves, supercharged versions of microwaves, to heat up the skins nerve endings

  • DeLay is also being scrutinized for accepting privately funded trips to Russia, Britain, and South Korea in 1997, 2000 and 2001 respectively. The trips were paid for by corporations in those countries through Jack Abramoff, a lobbyist connected to DeLay through Ed Buckham, founder of Alexander Strategy Group. Buckham’s firm has numerous large international and national corporate clients.

Buckham apparently used his connection to DeLay to advance the interests of his client, the South Korea-based Hanwha Group, a massive corporation that dabbles in several different economic sectors. DeLay regularly “agrees to meetings with corporate officials on Buckham’s recommendation,” says the Washington Post.

Buckham also arranged meetings between his South Korean client and President Bush.

FEMA, established in 1979 to mobilze federal resources and coordinate with state and local officals during disasters, heard similar criticisms in 1992 after Hurricane Andrew blew ashore in South florida, causing and estimated 26.5 billion in damage. [10]

A study by the National Acamdemy of Public Administration concluded that in the waning months of the george H. W. bush administration, the agency was ” a patient in triage” and the president and Congress “must decide whether to treat it or let it die,….FEMA has been ill-served by congressional and White House neglect, a fraagmented statutory charter, irrelgular funding, and uneven quality ot its political executives.”[11]

There was longstanding division within FEMA over whether the agency would give priorty to natural disaster management, as state and local governements generally preferred, or instead management of national security, continuity of government, and civil defense against nuclear attack duties, as several of its directors and three presidents [Ronald REagan, George H. W. bush and George W. Bush] preferrd.[15]

FEMA veteren Keefer described the tome set during the Reagan years:”Everything was like the Red scare: The communists were coming. the office was being bugged. Close all your blinds, because [Soviet] sateliites could pinpoint all your papers. They didn’t pay too close attention to natural disasters.”

According to Jane Bullock, who left FEMA in 2002 after 22 years and now works as an emergancy preparedness consulatant, “what we’re seeing in Katrina was exactly what happened on the 80’s. This is a total repeat. FEMA did the same thing under Bush II [as it did under Reagan]: They took three-quarters of the agency and devoted it to terrisom. The parallels are unbelievable.”[16]

Nearly nine months after [P]resident George W. Bush strode before the cameras and pledged the first 6$60 million of “one of teh largest reconstruction efforts the world has ever seen,” Fred Yoder sits in one of his Lakeview neighborhood’s three functioning restaurants, tallying his share of the federal largesse.

But sexual misconduct in the forced intimacy of the combat arms, on either end of the hostile/romantic behavior spectrum, would more seriously affect discipline and deployability, cohesion, and trust. No one should be surprised when demoralizing scandals similar to Abu Ghraib inspire more criticism of the military.

  • Kidnapping

Under federal and state law, kidnapping is commonly defined as the taking of a person from one place to another against his or her will, or the confining of a person to a controlled space. Some kidnapping laws require that the taking or confining be for an unlawful purpose, such as extortion or the facilitation of a crime. A parent without legal custody rights may be charged with kidnapping for taking his or her own child, in certain circumstances.

  • Extortion

Most states define extortion as the gaining of property or money by almost any kind of force, or threat of 1) violence, 2) property damage, 3) harm to reputation, or 4) unfavorable government action. While usually viewed as a form of theft/larceny, extortion differs from robbery in that the threat in question does not pose an imminent physical danger to the victim.

For example, Dan goes to Victor’s place of business and demands monthly payment from Victor for the business’s “protection” from vandalism and after-hours theft. Fearing that he or his business will suffer harm otherwise, Victor agrees to pay Dan.

  • the church’s ‘whine’ too much to dur press?

    Murder: First Degree

In most states, first-degree murder is defined as an unlawful killing that is both willful and premeditated, meaning that it was committed after planning or “lying in wait” for the victim.

For example, Dan comes home to find his wife in bed with Victor. Three days later, Dan waits behind a tree near Victor’s front door. When Victor comes out of the house, Dan shoots and kills him.

Most states also adhere to a legal concept known as the “felony murder rule,” under which a person commits first-degree murder if any death (even an accidental one) results from the commission of certain violent felonies — usually arson, burglary, kidnapping, rape, and robbery.

For example, Dan and Connie rob Victor’s liquor store, but as they are fleeing, Victor shoots and kills Dan. Under the felony murder rule, Connie can be charged with first-degree murder for Dan’s death.

Christian Doppler was a scientist and mathematician who explored and explained the phenomenon that has come to be called the Doppler Effect. He noticed that sounds seemed to be of higher pitch when the listener and the source of the sound were approaching each other, and of lower pitch when they were moving away from each other.

    Doppler effect

    picture for simulation

To verify this he had a musician on a train play a note while someone stood to the side listening and trying to determine what note was being played. As the train approached, the listener thought the note was higher than what the musician was playing. As the train passed, the listener heard the pitch drop, and as the train moved away the note sounded l
ower than what the musician was playing and hearing.

“Wi-Fi (or wifi) is a set of product compatibility standards for wireless local area networks (WLAN) based on the IEEE 802.11 specifications… Wi-Fi was intended to be used for mobile devices and LANs, but is now often used for Internet access. It enables a person with a wireless-enabled computer or personal digital assistant (PDA) to connect to the Internet when in proximity of an access point.” – definition from Wikipedia.org

The camera obscura, just like a large pinhole camera, is a dark room that has one wall punctured by a small hole. Light comes through the hole and projects an inverted image of the exterior scene against the opposite wall.

In the age of “englightenment”, electromagnetic waves that we knew as “visible light” formed our most ubiquitous medium and the medium of choice both in “recording” and in “representing”. Today, however, we find that increasingly we are creating and responding to non-visual electromagnetic fields: those emanating from our devices and environments. What might a camera obscura for our age look like? What sort of images might it capture? How might it reveal the obscure relationship that we have to our data environments?

Wifi Camera Obscura will reveal the electromagnetic space of our devices and the shadows that we create within such spaces, in particular our wifi networks which are increasingly found in coffee shops, offices and homes throughout cities of the developed world. We will take realtime “photos” of wifi space…

One of the most important intentions of the project is to develop a 21st century notion of the “picturesque”, which encompasses t
he space of our electromagnetic data bodies. As such, determining where we point our “wifi camera” (which, in its X-ray connotations has various intriguing privacy implications) is as important as determining how to construct it.

Adam [Szabolcs] Somlai-Fischer (Hungary), (born in Budapest, 1976) founding partner of Aether Architecture (www.aether.hu), specializes in designing interactive architectural projects, information spaces, mediating technologies. His work has been exhibited internationally both at architectural and artistic contexts, including ISEA festivals and the Venice Biennale of Architecture; published in design magazines and receives regular posts at leading design blogs. Graduated from the Architecture + Urban Research Laboratory, KTH, Stockholm, Adam has been teaching at the Architecture and Media technology departments at KTH, working as a guest researcher at the Smart Studio, Interactive Institute in Stockholm and at MOKK, Media Research Centre at the Department of Sociology and Communications, BME, Budapest.

Bengt Sjln (Sweden), born in 1972, is a self-taught software architect interested in technology for visual manifestations and sound and the interaction between man and machine, but also in the knowledge and technology for computation. Technology for making games has for long been pushing the limits of what you can do with the machine and pushing those limits was the driving force but now the challenge is making the better system with the smarter design and by standing on the shoulder of giants, avoiding to re-invent what is already done if possible, while at the same time refusing to accept that anything is impossible (even though things might be slightly impractical or not commercially viable.) Doing a boring thing once is once too many, and a risk of error, and therefor automation is one key to success strongly advocated.

Usman Haque (UK) has created responsive environments, interactive installations, digital interface devices and choreographed performances. His skills include the design of both physical spaces and the software and systems that bring them to life. He has been an invited researcher at the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, Italy, artist-in-residence at the International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences, Japan and has also worked in USA, UK and Malaysia. As well as directing the work of Haque Design + Research (www.haque.co.uk) he was until 2005 a teacher in the Interactive Architecture Workshop at the Bartlett School of Architecture, London.

    Erich Berger

The audiovisual installation/performance TEMPEST draws its name from a U.S government code word for a set of standards for limiting electric or electromagnetic radiation emanations from electronic equipment such as microchips, monitors or printers.[1] In 1985, Wim van Eck published the first unclassified technical analysis of the security risks of emanations from computer monitors.[2] Because of his research radiation from computer monitors is sometimes called “Van Eck Radiation” and the associated surveillance technology “Van Eck Phreaking”. “Van Eck Phreaking” means that computer screen content can be reconstructed remotely by picking up the emitted EM-field of the computer screen. Any electronic device that is switched on (a mobile, a laptop, a GPS receiver) generates constant electromagnetic emissions, even if it is on standby. British designers Anthony Dunne and Fiona Raby called this “The Secret Life of Electronic Objects”, the perception that the activity of electronic technology is not transparent or subject to the way it is used by consumers; below the friendly interfaces hide autonomous processes with their own dynamics.
“Tempest” utilizes the basic principles of the “Van Eck Phreaking” technique to transform purely generative graphic into a tight and intense composition of sound, noise and light. Following a long tradition of subverting military technologies for creative purposes, Erich Berger creates an audiovisual piece in which the relationship between images and sounds is precisely determined by the electromagnetic emissions produced by the monitor. The graphics that appear on the screen in “Tempest” produce radio waves which, when captured using various radios tuned to different AM frequencies, become the sharp and vibrant sounds that go along with the images.

With a background in communication engineering and philosophy, it should perhaps not come as a surprise that he is interested in paradox. His fascination for mathematical structures is obvious in his visual language. Sept. 11th Defendants Formally Charged While Civilian Counsel Still Await Clearance

The Department of Defense announced today that they have charged and referred for trial five high value Guantanamo detainees, who are facing death penalty proceedings before military commissions. Yet death penalty-qualified civilian lawyers from the John Adams Project, a joint effort of the ACLU and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) remain entangled in bureaucratic red tape.

NACDLs capital defense teams are still awaiting the security clearances and final military approval they need before they will be allowed to deploy to Guantanamo, said NACDL Executive Director Norman Reimer. We need DOD to clear the decks of all bureaucratic hurdles so that that the accused will have access to the vital services to which all capital defendants are entitled under our system of government.

    “fortress of doors”
While pursuing a successful legal strategy, many outer limits of legal linguistic definitions need more precision.

Terms that need more definition since the use of this weapon by the CIA/DOD on the worlds population including thousands of common US citizens include:

Murder – (standard) The intentional ‘physical’ harm of another human being resulting in death.
(twisted legal interpretation) Signal warfare into the human nervous system causes the person to kill ‘themselves’. EM energy isn’t physical, it is information.

Mass Murder – 100 or less people all killed at once
(twisted interpretation) A distributed global system killing people roughly at staggered deaths isn’t mass murder.

Genocide/Eugenics – 100 or more people terminated due to a specific genome or geography in common.
(twisted interpretation) If the geography is staggered along with the slow deaths in time and the group doesn’t have an obvious genome in common, it isn’t genocide. And it isn’t eugenics because the people are random and they aren’t exerting a directed evolutionary force.

Torture – (standard) intentional infliction of pain especially over long durations
(new twisted white house definition) It isn’t torture until the point of organ failure. That would mean that the person would have to die within some timeframe to call it torture with these weapons. Apparently heart arrhythmias and stress related illness doesn’t count as organ failure. Nor does a brain induced into dysfunctional patterns for survival.

Rape – (standard definition) Rape must be the physical force used for unconsential sex.
(twisted definition) Genital stimulation or pain from ‘shock pants’ or brain entrainments is not physical nor intended for sex, this is not rape. It may be to induce trauma just like (simulated) rape, but we aren’t breaking the rape law.

Wire Tapping Privacy Act (Definition) The government can not tap into any electronic device or read signals from devices without court order roughly.

(twisted loophole) Since brain activity is read with return radar scatter energy and the brain is not an electronic device, these privacy laws dont apply. (Passive reading vs. Active sensing of organic devices)

Stalking (standard definition) The unwanted following or intentional intimidation of an individual.

(twisted interpretation) If we can make people paranoid using a signal and cause other people around them to say words that would make them believe that those people were in on it, we are only inducing the perception of stalking but not actually stalking them. If we cause pain signals that their brains interpret, timed with a neighbor coming home, it is their perception that they are being watched, stalked, and tortured by the neighbor but we explained how surveillance using active scanning of biology doesnt fall under the Electronic Privacy Act.

I am speculating that a severe word game and twisted legal thinking may actually be how some justify it. Clarifying the legal terms is necessary to clarify the thinking about this weapon system and the crimes against humanity.

    Fissures of Dissent
The War had the effect as it brought many Northerners closer together. Some in the North simply abhorred the War and showed no reluctance to express their view. Volatile issues such as conscription and emancipation stirred further passion and fueled such protest that the government felt compelled to restrict civil liberties and define new limits of dissent. But at the same time, Northerners of diverse backgrounds found themselves bound together in wartime charitable efforts, or touched by the common empathy of those whose sons and husbands were risking their lives to fight for the Union.

    • Home security
    • Relocation
    • Insurance co-payments
    • Crime scene cleanup
    • Medically necessary equipment such as a wheelchair
    • Childcare services, when a caregiver is killed or disabled because of a crime

The Victim Compensation Quick Reference Guide PDF is a good source for available benefits and limits.

Expenses that cannot be paid by the VCP:

    • Any expense not related to the crime
    • Any expenses paid by insurance or another source of reimbursement or coverage
    • Expenses for lost, stolen or damaged property (except medically necessary items due to a qualifying crime)
    • Damages for pain and suffering

The VCP can only reimburse crime-related expenses that are not covered by other sources. There are limits on how much can be paid for each loss. The program cannot pay any expense for a person who is on felony probation, on parole, in jail or in prison (a person who is not a felon can be reimbursed for funeral and crime-sce

ne cleanup expenses even though the victim was a felon).

The Girl Scout organization was known as Fereshtegan-e Pishahange Īrān, (ايران پیش آهنگی ﺍﮔﺗﺷﺮﻓ, literally Angel Scouts of Iran). The Iranian Scouting Girl Scout Section is a former member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, last mentioned in 1979.

[wiki]Girl Guiding may again be making inroads into Iran, as in 1993 a reception was held in Manila, Philippines in conjunction with WAGGGS’ Asia Pacific Symposium of NGOs for Women in Development. The aim was to introduce or reintroduce the Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting movement and to explore possibilities of starting/restarting Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting in Iran, as well as Cambodia, Tibet, Russia, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. Fifty women leaders from those nations attended the Asia Pacific Symposium, sharing their Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting experiences.

In 1975, membership was expanded to include boys. Headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., Camp Fire USA currently servesnearly 750,000 children and youth annually.

First meetings of Camp Fire Girls are held in Vermont. Dr. Gulick chooses the name “Camp Fire” because campfires were the origin of the first communities and domestic life. Once people learned to make and control fire, they could develop and nurture a sense of community.

Camp Fire Girls of America is incorporated in Washington, D.C., as a national agency.

The “Blue Bird” program is officially introduced for younger girls and offers exploration of ideas and creative play built around family and community life. In 1989 the “Blue Bird” level will become the “Starflight” level and to serve both boys and girls.

But at the same time it’s so — you know, this is one of our freedoms. And as you look around the world and certainly when we look at Afghanistan the way it was under the Taliban or Iraq under Saddam Hussein where the people who lived in those countries didn’t have the opportunity to protest or to speak their minds or to say what they really thought in any way, and I think that’s one of our most cherished freedoms.

You know, I don’t know if that’s what they mean with their protests; if they’d rather have Saddam Hussein still in power, I’m not really sure.

BLUEBIRD was the cryptonym for a CIA program involving special interrogation methods, including the use of drugs, hypnosis,[1] and isolation. It lasted from 1949 to 1950 when it was renamed “ARTICHOKE“, and would eventually become the infamous MKULTRA. Responsibility for the project mainly lay with the Office of Scientific Intelligence.[2]

Among the CIA’s early scientific interests were “special” interrogation methods, including the use of drugs and chemicals, hypnosis, and isolation. A number of CIA units, including OSI, the Inspection and Security office, and the Technical Services Staff would be involved in investigating such techniques. In 1949-50 experiments were conducted under a program designated BLUEBIRD, which subsequently became known as ARTICHOKE.

This memo written in 1975, as such CIA activities were about to become the focus of Congressional and public attention, provides a brief history of these efforts through 1960, and includes a short discussion of the death of Frank Olson, who committed suicide after a CIA official secretly administered a dose of LSD to the Army scientist* under a program designated MKULTRA.

Also, the Earth is orbiting around the Sun at about 110,000 kilometers per hour.

The permanent monitoring of the Earth’s rotation requires the use of
Very Long Baseline Interferometry coordinated with the Global Positioning System, Satellite laser ranging, and other satellite techniques. This provides the absolute reference for the determination of universal time, precession, and nutation.[2]

    perpetual motion:

One remarkable piece of evidence for Earth’s rotation was built by physicist Léon Foucault in 1851. By attaching an iron sphere to a very long wire, Foucault constructed a pendulum that was 67m long. Physicists of the time knew that once a pendulum is set in motion, its direction of swing would not change. Foucault, however, observed that the direction of swing of his pendulum seemed to change. Each hour it shifted about 11 degrees in a clockwise direction. After eight hours the pendulum was swinging at a right angle to its starting direction. Because the pendulum itself could not have changed its direction of swing, Foucault concluded that the shift he saw was caused by Earth’s turning beneath his pendulum. The Foucault pendulum is now a famous demonstration of Earth’s rotation.

tool bar quote:The definition of harrassment laws:

    1. Quid pro quo harassment, a supervisor threatening to fire or not promote an employee if she doesn’t have sex with him.[4] Th
e ban on quid pro quo harassment raises no interesting First Amendment problems — such behavior is as constitutionally unprotected as any other form of threat or extortion.

    2. “Hostile work environment” harassment, speech or conduct that is

    · “severe or pervasive” enough to

    · create a “hostile or abusive work environment”

    · based on race, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or, in some jurisdictions, sexual orientation, political affiliation, citizenship status, marital status, or personal appearance,

    · for the plaintiff and for a reasonable person.[5]

Many hostile environment harassment claims have nothing to do with speech, for instance when a harassment claim is based only on offensive physical touching or vandalism or discriminatory job assignments (which have generally been seen as “harassment” rather than discrimination). These claims pose no First Amendment problems. The same is true, when a harassment claim is based on generally unprotected speech such as threats or fighting words or slander.

But hostile environment harassment findings based partly on political statements, or religious proselytizing, or social commentary, or art (click for examples), raise very serious free speech objections. It is these objections that I discuss on this site.

    [1]The standards for harassment under these laws (and under other antidiscrimination statutes, such as the Civil Rights Act of 1966, 42 U.S.C. § 1981, and 42 U.S.C. § 1983 claims against state and local government employers) are generally identical. See, e.g., Hamilton v. Rodgers, 791 F.2d 439, 442 (5th Cir. 1986) (§ 1981); Bennett v. Corroon and Black Corp., 517 So. 2d 1245, 1246 (La. App. 1987), writ denied, 520 So. 2d 425 (La. 1988) (Louisiana law); Continental Can Co. v. State, 297 N.W.2d 241, 246 (Minn. 1980) (Minnesota law); Scandinavian Health Spa v. Ohio Civ. Rights Comm’n, 64 Ohio App. Bd. 480, 581 N.E.2d 1169 (1990) (Ohio law); Holien v. Sears, Roebuck & Co., 298 Or. 76, 86‑90, 689 P.2d 1292, 1297‑99 (1984) (Oregon law); Rabidue v. Osceola Ref. Co., 805 F.2d 611, 617 (6th Cir. 1986) (Michigan law); Fair v. Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Inc., 742 F. Supp. 151, 157 (S.D.N.Y. 1990) (New York law).

    [2]42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e‑2(a)(1) (1988).

[3]Courts dealing with sexual harassment cases have been influenced by the EEOC’s sexual harassment regulation, 29 C.F.R. § 1604.11 (1991); see also 29 C.F.R. § 1606.8 (1991) (national origin harassment). But these regulations are not binding on courts, see Meritor Sav. Bank, FSB v. Vinson, 477 U.S. 57, 65 (1986), and some courts have gone beyond them, see Hall v. Gus Constr. Co., 842 F.2d 1010, 1014 (8th Cir. 1988) (holding that, even if the EEOC regulation covers only “conduct of a sexual nature,” harassment on the basis of sex should be actionable even when it is not of a sexual nature); see also Andrews v. City of Philadelphia, 895 F.2d 1469, 1485 (3d Cir. 1990) (same).

There are no EEOC racial harassment or religious harassment regulations. Courts recognized racial harassment as actionable before the EEOC sexual and national origin harassment regulations were promulgated. See Rogers v. EEOC, 454 F.2d 234, 238 (5th Cir. 1971), cert. denied, 406 U.S. 957 (1972).

[4]See, e.g., Tomkins v. Public Serv. Elec. & Gas Co., 568 F.2d 1044, 1048‑49 (3d Cir. 1977). One could also imagine quid pro quo religious harassment, where a supervisor threatens to retaliate against a subordinate unless the subordinate converts to the supervisor’s religion.

[5]See, e.g., Harris v. Forklift Sys., Inc., 510 U.S. 17, 21‑22 (1993) (barring harassment based on race, religion, sex, or national origin); Eggleston v. South Bend Community Sch. Corp., 858 F. Supp. 841, 847‑48 (N.D. Ind. 1994) (barring harassment based on age and disability, under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act); 38 U.S.C. § 4311 (1994) (barring discrimination against present or former armed service members); 41 C.F.R. § 60‑250.4 (1996) (barring discrimination by federal contractors against Vietnam‑era veterans); infra text accompanying note 18 (describing veteran status harassment case); D.C. Code Ann. § 1‑2512 (1981 & Supp. 1988) (barring discrimination in “terms, conditions, . . . or privileges of employment” — a phrase that has been interpreted in the Title VII context as covering hostile environment harassment — based on “marital status, personal appearance, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, matriculation, disability, or political affiliation”); Cal. Gov’t Code § 12940(h)(1) (West 1992 & Supp. 1995) (barring discrimination based on marital status); N.Y. City Admin. Code & Charter § 8‑107(a) (Supp. 1996) (barring discrimination in “terms, conditions or privileges of employment” based on “marital status, sexual orientation or alienage or citizenship status”); Seattle, Wash., Code § 14.04.040 (1986) (barring discrimination in “terms, conditions, . . . or privileges of employment” based on, among other things, “political ideology”); Leibert v. Transworld Sys., Inc., 39 Cal. Rptr. 2d 65, 67 (Ct. App. 1995) (barring harassment based on sexual orientation).

Art and Music<mine:$militay ‘slang“?>: Likewise, art or music that is seen as politically offensive, misogynistic, or sexually themed can lead to harassment liability. A U.S. Court of Appeals in Slayton v. Ohio Dep’t of Youth Services, for instance, upheld a $125,000 damages award based in part on a coworker’s playing “misogynistic rap music” and displaying “music videos depict[ing] an array of sexually provocative conduct.” 52

The injunction in another case barred the possession or display of any “sexually suggestive, sexually demeaning, or pornographic” 53 materials in the workplace, defining “sexually suggestive” as covering anything that “depicts a person of either sex who is not fully clothed . . . and who is posed for the obvious purpose of displaying or drawing attention to private portions of his or her body.” This would clearly cover a wide variety of art, and might actually send people to jail — one form of sanction for violation of a court order — for possessing and display Gauguin prints. And I describe below many instances in which harassment complaints were brought based on legitimate art, from Goya to New Yorker cartoons, but which never came to court because employers, faced with the risk of liability, ordered the art taken down.

An economic bubble (sometimes referred to as a speculative bubble, a market bubble, a price bubble, a financial bubble, or a speculative mania) is “trade in high volumes at prices that are considerably at variance from intrinsic values”.[1][2]

The cause of bubbles remains a challenge to economic theory. While many explanations have been suggested, it has been recently shown that bubbles appear even without uncertainty,[3] speculation,[4] or bounded rationality.[5]

Voyager Enters Solar System’s Final Frontier

NASA’s Voyager 1 spacecraft has entered the solar system’s final frontier, a vast, turbulent expanse where the Sun’s influence ends and the solar wind crashes into the thin gas between stars.

This still shows the locations of Voyagers 1 and 2. Image Right: This still shows the locations of Voyagers 1 and 2. Voyager 1 is traveling a lot and has crossed into the heliosheath, the region where interstellar gas and solar wind start to mix. “Voyager has entered the final lap on its race to the edge of interstellar space, as it begins exploring the solar system’s final frontier,” said Dr. Edward Stone, Voyager project scientist at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. Caltech manages NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, which built and operates Voyager 1 and its twin, Voyager 2.

Galaxy zoom animation Image Left: Starting with a view of our Milky Way galaxy, the orange gas in the animation represents the interstellar medium. The bow shock is created because the heliosphere is moving through like a boat through the water, crashing through the interstellar gases. The bow shock in front of the moving heliosphere is similar to the one observed by the Hubble Space Telescope. Click for animation. Credit: NASA/Walt Feimer

In November 2003, the Voyager team announced it was seeing events unlike any encountered before in the mission’s then 26-year history. The team believed the unusual events indicated Voyager 1 was approaching a strange region of space, likely the beginning of this new frontier called the termination shock region. There was controversy at that time over whether Voyager 1 had indeed encountered the termination shock or was just getting close.

Plate underwater as a metaphor for heliosheath Image Right: We don’t know the exact location of the termination shock and changes in the solar wind cause it to expand, contract, and ripple like a plate underwater. Water spreads out over the plate in a relatively smooth flow but has a rough edge where the water slows down abruptly and piles up. The edge is like the termination shock, and as the water flow changes, the shape and size of the rough edge change. Credit: NASA/ESA

“The consensus of the team now is that Voyager 1, at 8.7 billion miles from the Sun, has at last entered the heliosheath, the region beyond the termination shock,” said Dr. John Richardson from MIT, Principal Investigator of the Voyager plasma science investigation.

“The termination shock is where the solar wind, a thin stream of electrically charged gas blowing continuously outward from the Sun, is slowed by pressure from gas between the stars”. At the termination shock, the solar wind slows abruptly from its average speed of 300 to 700 km per second (700,000 – 1,500,000 miles per hour) and becomes denser and hotter.

HST image of L.L. Orionis Nebula Image Left: The Hubble Space Telescope imaged this view in February 1995. The arcing, graceful structure is actually a bow shock about half a light-year across, created from the wind from the star L.L. Orionis colliding with the Orion Nebula flow. For more information on this image, see HubbleSite. Click on the image for a very large version. Credit: NASA, The Hubble Heritage Team (STScI/AURA)

The strongest evidence that Voyager 1 has passed through the termination shock into the slower, denser wind beyond is its measurement of an increase in the strength of the magnetic field carried by the solar wind and the inferred decrease in its speed. Physically, this must happen whenever the solar wind slows down, as it does at the termination shock. Consider a highway with moderate traffic. If something makes the drivers slow down, say a puddle of water, the cars pile up – their density increases. In the same way, the density (intensity) of the magnetic field carried by the solar wind will increase if the solar wind slows down. In December 2004, Voyager 1 observed the magnetic field strength increasing by a factor of two and a half, as expected when the solar wind slows down. The magnetic field has remained at these high levels from December until now. An increase in the magnetic field intensity of about 1.7 times was seen at the time of the event announced in 2003.

Voyager spacecraft animation Image Right:The Voyagers are identical but on different flight paths. Voyager 1 is about 8.7 billion miles from the Sun and traveling at a speed of 3.6 AU per year while Voyager 2 is about 6.5 billion miles away and moving at about 3.3 AU per year. One ‘AU’ equals the distance between the Sun and Earth, or 93 million miles. In July 2004 scientists used Voyagers to track a solar blast to the edges of the solar system. Credit: NASA/Walt Feimer

“Voyager’s observations over the past few years show that the termination shock is far more complicated than anyone thought,” said Dr. Eric Christian, Discipline Scientist for the Sun-Solar System Connection research program at NASA Headquarters, Washington, DC.

For their original missions to Jupiter and Saturn, the Voyagers were destined for regions of space far from the Sun, so each was equipped with three radioisotope thermoelectric generators to produce electrical power for the spacecraft systems and instruments. Still operating in remote, cold and dark conditions 27 years later, the Voyagers could last until 2020.

Amnesty Day for Bush and lawbreaking telecoms

(Updated belowUpdate IIUpdate IIIUpdate IVUpdate V)

The Senate today — led by Jay Rockefeller, enabled by Harry Reid, and with the active support of at least 12 (and probably more) Democrats, in conjunction with an as-always lockstep GOP caucus — will vote to legalize warrantless spying on the telephone calls and emails of Americans, and will also provide full retroactive amnesty to lawbreaking telecoms, thus forever putting an end to any efforts to investigate and obtain a judicial ruling regarding the Bush administration’s years-long illegal spying programs aimed at Americans. The long, hard efforts by AT&T, Verizon and their all-star, bipartisan cast of lobbyists to grease the wheels of the Senate — led by former Bush 41 Attorney General William Barr and former Clinton Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick — are about to pay huge dividends, as such noble efforts invariably do with our political establishment.

It’s worth taking a step back and recalling that all of this is the result of the December, 2005 story by the New York Times which first reported that the Bush administration was illegally spying on Americans for many years without warrants of any kind. All sorts of “controversy” erupted from that story. Democrats everywhere expressed dramatic, unbridled outrage, vowing that this would not stand. James Risen and Eric Lichtblau were awarded Pulitzer Prizes for exposing this serious lawbreaking. All sorts of Committees were formed, papers written, speeches given, conferences convened, and editorials published to denounce this extreme abuse of presidential power. This was illegality and corruption at the highest level of government, on the grandest scale, and of the most transparent strain.

What was the outcome of all of that sturm und drang? What were the consequences for the President for having broken the law so deliberately and transparently? Absolutely nothing. To the contrary, the Senate is about to enact a bill which has two simple purposes: (1) to render retroactively legal the President’s illegal spying program by legalizing its crux: warrantless eavesdropping on Americans, and (2) to stifle forever the sole remaining avenue for finding out what the Government did and obtaining a judicial ruling as to its legality: namely, the lawsuits brought against the co-conspiring telecoms. In other words, the only steps taken by our political class upon exposure by the NYT of this profound lawbreaking is to endorse it all and then suppress any and all efforts to investigate it and subject it to the rule of law.

To be sure, achieving this took some time. When Bill Frist was running the Senate and Pat Roberts was in charge of the Intelligence Committee, Bush and Cheney couldn’t get this done (the same FISA and amnesty bill that the Senate will pass today stalled in the 2006 Senate). They had to wait until the Senate belonged (nominally) to Harry Reid and, more importantly, Jay Rockefeller was installed as Committee Chairman, and then — and only then — were they able to push the Senate to bequeath to them and their lawbreaking allies full-scale protection from investigation and immunity from the consequences of their lawbreaking.

That’s really the most extraordinary aspect of all of this, if one really thinks about it — it isn’t merely that the Democratic Senate failed to investigate or bring about accountability for the clearest and more brazen acts of lawbreaking in the Bush administration, although that is true. Far beyond that, once in power, they are eagerly and aggressively taking affirmative steps — extraordinary steps — to protect Bush officials. While still knowing virtually nothing about what they did, they are acting to legalize Bush’s illegal spying programs and put an end to all pending investigations and efforts to uncover what happened.

How far we’ve come — really: disgracefully tumbled — from the days of the Church Committee, which aggressively uncovered surveillance abuses and then drafted legislation to outlaw them and prevent them from ever occurring again. It is, of course, precisely those post-Watergate laws which the Bush administration and their telecom conspirators purposely violated, and for which they are about to receive permanent, lawless protection.

What Harry Reid’s Senate is about to do today would be tantamount to the Church Committee — after discovering the decades of abuses of eavesdropping powers by various administrations — proceeding in response to write legislation to legalize unchecked surveillance, bar any subjects of the illegal eavesdropping from obtaining remedies in court, and then pass a bill with no purpose other than to provide retroactive immunity for the surveillance lawbreakers. That would be an absurd and incomparably corrupt nonsequitur, but that is precisely what Harry Reid’s Senate — in response to the NYT‘s 2005 revelations of clear surveillance lawbreaking by the administration — is going to do today.

    Analogously, in 1973, The Wash
    ington Post
won the Pulitzer Prize for its work in uncovering the Watergate abuses, and that led to what would have been the imminent bipartisan impeachment of the President until he was forced to resign in disgrace. By stark and depressing contrast, in 2006, Jim Risen, Eric Lichtblau and the NYT won Pulitzer Prizes for their work in uncovering illegal spying on Americans at the highest levels of the Government, and that led to bipartisan legislation to legalize the illegal spying programs and provide full-scale retroactive amnesty for the lawbreakers. That’s the difference between a country operating under the rule of law and one that is governed by lawlessness and lawbreaking license for the politically powerful and well-connected.

Chris Dodd went to the Senate floor last night and gave another eloquent and impassioned speech, warning of the consequences for our country from telecom amnesty. He specifically focused on the permanently and comprehensively suppressive effect it will have on efforts to investigate what the Bush administration did in illegally spying on Americans.

At around 2:25, Sen. Dodd quoted from this blog (from this post specifically regarding last week’s testimony of Michael Mukasey) concerning the consequences for our country from ensuring, as the Senate is about to do, that such blatant and deliberate governmental lawbreaking is protected and goes forever unpunished (h/t selise):

From Frank Church and the bipartisan oversight protections of the post-Watergate abuses in the mid-1970s to Jay Rockefeller, Dick Cheney, legalized warrantless eavesdropping and retroactive telecom amnesty in 2008 — that vivid collapse into the sewer illustrates as potently as anything could what has happened to this country over the last eight years.

UPDATE: The Dodd/Feingold amendment to remove telecom immunity from the bill just failed by a whopping vote of 31-67 — 20 votes shy of the 50 needed for a passage. A total of 18 Democrats joined all Republicans in voting for immunity: Bayh, Inouye, Johnson, Landrieu, McCaskill, Ben Nelson, Bill Nelson, Stabenow, Feinstein, Kohl, Pryor, Rockefeller, Salazar, Carper, Mikulski, Conrad, Webb, and Lincoln. Obama voted against immunity, and Hillary Clinton was the only Senator not voting. Thus, the breakdown on the vote was similar to what it always is:

    Democrats — 31-18

    Republicans — 0-49

As always, when it comes to the most radical Bush policies, the GOP lines up lock-step behind them, and the Democrats split, always with more than enough to join the Republicans to ensure passage. That’s the process that is called “bipartisanship” in the Beltway.

Perhaps even more repugnantly, even Dianne Feinstein’s amendment merely to provide that the FISA bill they are about to pass would be the “exclusive means” for presidential eavesdropping failed by a vote of 57-41 (it fell 3 votes shy of the 60 votes needed for passage, under the agreement which requires that every amendment attract the number of votes it cannot get). As Kagro at Kos says:

In rejecting the Feinstein “exclusivity” amendment to the FISA revision considered on the Senate floor today — an amendment that failed by a vote of 57 Ayes to 41 Noes, thanks to another “painless filibuster” of precisely the type we were promised would not be tolerated on this bill — the Senate has voted to say that although they were passing a law governing surveillance, it was OK if the President decided that he really didn’t like the law very much and wished to make up his own instead.

Exclusivity — the purpose of the amendment that “failed” — meant simply this: that the law they were passing was the law, and it was the governing authority for how surveillance could be conducted in America.

The Senate just rejected it, so that means that they’re passing a law, but if a president decides later on that he thinks there’s really some other controlling authority besides the law, that’s OK.

So not only is the Senate enacting a bill granting vast new warrantless eavesdropping powers to the President, they are unwilling even to declare that it is the law of the land and that he is required to abide by it (Matt Browner Hamlin has the equally reprehensible vote tallies on the other amendments here).

UPDATE II: FDL has a petition, jointly sponsored by me, directed at House members, demanding that they reject this lawless, authoritarian Senate bill and defend their own, previously passed bill (the RESTORE Act). I encourage everyone to sign it. You can do so here.

UPDATE III: Atrios makes a point always worth highlighting:

While one can’t discount legalized bribery campaign dollars entirely, I do think too often we assume they’re the reason lawmakers do the “wrong thing” when the simpler explanation that they believe the wrong thing is in fact the right thing is the answer.

Too many Democrats simply don’t have the values we imagine they do, and it lets them off the hook too much to assume they’re simply craven people who need to get re-elected instead of bad people who don’t share our values.

. There’s a temptation, particularly on days like today, to talk about what motivates “Democrats” — as though they’re a monolith acting collectively with the same drives. They’re not. Some do what they do because their only concern is a craven desire to be re-elected. Others believe in one thing but are afraid to vote that way (because they’ll be called Soft on Terror, Liberal, etc.), while others still are influenced by Beltway money and other cultural pressures. Some are motivated by a combination of those motives

But a large number of elected Democrats vote in favor of the radical Bush agenda for a very simple reason: they believe in it. Despite the glorious “D” after their name, their views are materially indistinguishable from the defining ones of the Bush faction on the key issues. A huge portion of Congressional Democrats are members of the corrupt, bipartisan Beltway political establishment first, and everything only follows that, and they thus embrace and support the values of that establishment.

That’s why Bush has won and — even with “Democrats in control of Congress” — continues to win most key votes. The fault lines in the Beltway aren’t primarily between Republican and Democrat but between those who support the core values of our political establishment (as reflected by the Bush administration) and those who don’t. Through a bulging coalition of both Democrats and Republicans, the pro-establishment forces have a strong, clear and easy majority, and that’s why the most radical Bush measures continue not only to prevail, but — as today — do so easily.

UPDATE IV: Here is the first paragraph from Eric Lichtblau’s NYT article this afternoon:

After more than a year of heated political wrangling, the Senate handed the White House a major victory Tuesday by voting to broaden the government’s spy powers and to give legal protection to phone companies that cooperated in President Bush’s warrantless eavesdropping program.

To conserve resources, newspapers should just create a macro of that phrase — “the Senate handed the White House a major victory today” — and then just program it to be automatically inserted into every article reporting on anything done by the Senate. That system would be foolproof.

On a related note, The Washington Post‘s Dan Froomkin cites the primary justification for telecom amnesty — that these companies were just doing what they were told by the Government — and then asks rhetorically: “isn’t that the very definition of a police state: that companies should do whatever the government asks, even if they know it’s illegal?” I used to think that amnesty supporters held their position because they didn’t understand this extremely simple point, but now I think that most of them have their position precisely because they do understand it. A lawless “police state” — and that’s the only term that can be used to describe what this bill creates — is exactly what our political establishment desires.

UPDATE V: Final passage in the Senate of the Cheney/Rockefeller bill was 68-29. 19 Democrats joined all Republicans to vote in favor of warrantless eavesdropping and telecom amnesty: Conrad, Rockefeller, Baucus, Webb, Kohl, Whitehouse, Bayh, Johnson, Bill Nelson, Mikulski, McCaskill, Lincoln, Casey, Salazar, Inouye, Ben Nelson, Pryor, Carper, and Landrieu. Neither Obama nor Clinton voted on final passage.

    Space-time Vortex

Is Earth in a vortex of space-time?

We’ll soon know the answer: A NASA/Stanford physics experiment called Gravity Probe B (GP-B) recently finished a year of gathering science data in Earth orbit. The results, which will take another year to analyze, should reveal the shape of space-time around Earth–and, possibly, the vortex.

Time and space, according to Einstein’s theories of relativity, are woven together, forming a four-dimensional fabric called “space-time.” The tremendous mass of Earth dimples this fabric, much like a heavy person sitting in the middle of a trampoline. Gravity, says Einstein, is simply the motion of objects following the curvaceous lines of the dimple.

If Earth were stationary, that would be the end of the story. But Earth is not stationary. Our planet spins, and the spin should twist the dimple, slightly, pulling it around into a 4-dimensional swirl. This is what GP-B went to space to check

Above: An artist’s concept of twisted space-time around Earth. [More]

The idea behind the experiment is simple:

Put a spinning gyroscope into orbit around the Earth, with the spin axis pointed toward some distant star as a fixed reference point. Free from external forces, the gyroscope’s axis should continue pointing at the star–forever. But if space is twisted, the direction of the gyroscope’s axis should drift over time. By noting this change in direction relative to the star, the twists of space-time could be measured.

In practice, the experiment is tremendously difficult.

The four gyroscopes in GP-B are the most perfect spheres ever made by humans. These ping pong-sized balls of fused quartz and silicon are 1.5 inches across and never vary from a perfect sphere by more than 40 atomic layers. If the gyroscopes weren’t so spherical, their spin axes would wobble even without the effects of relativity.

According to calculations, the twisted space-time around Earth should cause the axes of the gyros to drift merely 0.041 arcseconds over a year. An arcsecond is 1/3600th of a degree. To measure this angle reasonably well, GP-B needed a fantastic precision of 0.0005 arcseconds. It’s like measuring the thickness of a sheet of paper held edge-on 100 miles away.

GP-B researchers invented whole new technologies to make this possible. They developed a “drag free” satellite that could brush against the outer layers of Earth’s atmosphere without disturbing the gyros. They figured out how to keep Earth’s penetrating magnetic field out of the spacecraft. And they concocted a device to measure the spin of a gyro–without touching the gyro.

Pulling off the experiment was an exceptional challenge. A lot of time and money was on the line, but the GP-B scientists appear to have done it.

“There were not any major surprises” in the experiment’s performance, says physics professor Francis Everitt, the Principal Investigator for GP-B at Stanford University. Now that data-taking is complete, he says the mood among the GP-B scientists is “a lot of enthusiasm, and a realization also that a lot of grinding hard work is ahead of us.”

A careful, thorough analysis of the data is underway. The scientists will do it in three stages, Everitt explains. First, they will look at the data from each day of the year-long experiment, checking for irregularities. Next they’ll break the data into roughly month-long chunks, and finally they’ll look at the whole year. By doing it this way, the scientists should be able to find any problems that a more simple analysis might miss.

Eventually scientists around the world will scrutinize the data. Says Everitt, “we want our sternest critics to be us.”

The stakes are high. If they detect the
vortex, precisely as expected, it simply means that Einstein was right, again. But what if they don’t? There might be a flaw in Einstein’s theory, a tiny discrepancy that heralds a revolution in physics.

First, though, there are a lot of data to analyze. Stay tuned.
